As part of Frasca’s ‘Heartwarming Stories’ collaboration with 102.1 Edge FM & 1566 3NE, Frasca’s Belting, Steel & Engineering will be donating $250 to four separate charities in Wangaratta over the next few weeks. The first donation was presented this week to Loretta Waters – Executive Officer of Open Door Neighbourhood House Wangaratta.

In non-COVID times, Open Door Neighborhood House is a safe and fun place to learn and socialise. It is a meeting place where people can form meaningful friendships and develop new skills. As per their name, they have an ‘open door’ policy and welcome people of all ages and abilities to learn and obtain information.

In recent times Open Door Neighborhood House has had to make a few changes and have moved some things like Tai-Chi and gentle exercise classes online. They have on hand reusable and disposable face masks as well as hand sanitizer for anyone who needs it. On weekdays between 10 am & 2 pm, they are also operating a ‘Food for All’ program right here in Wangaratta! They have food relief available in these difficult times to anyone who may need it.

This free service is for anyone that may find themselves with changed circumstances, for people who need to collect some basics for neighbours, family or friends, who would like to avoid supermarkets or are having trouble accessing the staples that they may need. In recognition of the great work these guys do.

Open Door Neighbourhood House are the first recipients of our $250 donation to help continue the amazing community support they provide.
